WHAT: A representative from Governor Tony Evers’ administration will present the vision for mental health in Wisconsin

Experts from across Wisconsin will discuss the many opportunities and challenges to advance mental health care in the state.

 WHY/VISUAL: Wisconsin faces severe mental healthcare challenges, including a shortage of psychiatrists, inadequate access to services in small cities and rural areas, and a high youth suicide rate.

Through partnerships with several health centers in the Green Bay and Wausau areas, MCW is helping solve Wisconsin’s mental healthcare problems through its regional campuses in those regions and initiatives such as psychiatry residency programs and the Child Psychiatry Consultation Program. MCW aims to continue collaborating with health, policy and education leaders to work toward solutions.
