On Friday night (Dec. 20), crews will complete pavement markings and traffic shifts along I-39/90 northbound in Beloit ahead of winter shutdown. The following ramp closures are scheduled to accommodate the activities:

  • The IL 75 ramp to I-39/90 northbound in South Beloit will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 12 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 21). Motorists are required to use alternate local routes.
  • The entrance ramp to the Beloit Rest Area, rest area 22, along Interstate 39/90 northbound (westbound) will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 7 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 21).
  • The ramp from the rest area to the northbound Interstate will be closed from 12 a.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday. The rest area facility and parking will be closed during this timeframe.
  • Access at the I-43/WIS 81 interchange (Exit 185 A-B) will remain open to area restaurants, gas stations and lodging. The La Prairie Safety Weight and Enforcement Facility (SWEF) will also be open for overnight truck parking.

The work operations and ramp closures are weather dependent and subject to change.
