Madison, WI – The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) is providing online resources to Wisconsin students impacted by the recent closure of Argosy University and the Art Institutes. DSPS will continue to update the information as it becomes available under the Closed Schools section of the Educational Approval Program (EAP) web page.

On Friday, March 8, the Receiver for several Dream Center Education Holding (DCEH) owned institutions filed a motion with the court requesting emergency closure of 22 DCEH online and physical campuses. The closures followed weeks of uncertainty over the troubled network of postsecondary schools.

Approximately 200 Wisconsin students enrolled in online coursework at Argosy University and the Art Institutes may be impacted by the closure. The closure also affects Wisconsin students enrolled in coursework at Argosy University’s physical campus location in Eagan, MN.

Students impacted by the closure should request a copy of their transcript from DCEH. A link to the Transcript Request Form and mailing address can be found on the EAP web page.

Wisconsin students impacted may be eligible for a federal student loan discharge. Important information and resources regarding financial assistance and other notices can also be found on the EAP web page and will be regularly updated as more information is known.
