Evers to kick off Conservation Lobby Day

MADISON – Gov. Tony Evers will join conservationists from all across Wisconsin as the keynote speaker at Conservation Lobby Day 2019.

Wisconsin Conservation Voters hosts Conservation Lobby Day at the beginning of each legislative session. Hundreds of conservationists will descend on the capitol to speak directly to legislators about their priority issues and values.

Executive Director Kerry Schumann said this about the announcement:

“On March 27th, hundreds of conservation voters and dozens of local groups from across Wisconsin will unite under the banner of conservation to speak directly to legislators about our priorities and values.

We’re honored to welcome Gov. Evers as we kick off this important day for Wisconsin’s environment. Since taking office, Gov. Evers has set a vision for safe drinking water and clean energy and he has proposed a state budget that prioritizes the environment in so many ways. We are thrilled that he will be able to talk directly with conservation leaders about his priorities.”
