-- The state Senate will be in early this afternoon to take up the GOP version of a middle-class tax cut, perhaps setting up the first veto showdown of Gov. Tony Evers' new administration.
The bill cleared the Assembly 61-33 yesterday and would head to Evers' desk if the Senate concurs today.
