(WAUKESHA, WI) – Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow has submitted his 2020 – 2024 Capital Projects Plan to the Board of Supervisors. The Plan outlines funding for all major projects to be proposed in the budget over the next five years, such as road, facility, and parks projects, as well as investments in technology. The 2020 – 2024 Capital Projects Plan focuses on responsible investments in public safety, infrastructure, and economic development that will maintain current county services while keeping taxes low. The Waukesha County Board of Supervisors will vote on it on Tuesday, October 22, 2019.

“This Capital Projects Plan leverages partnerships and alternative funding sources while investing in projects that will maintain Waukesha County’s high quality of life for years to come,” said County Executive Paul Farrow. “This Plan looks to the future while building upon decades of award-winning budgeting practices. Our goal is always to serve residents in the best way possible while keeping taxes low.”

Notable projects in the 2020 – 2024 Capital Projects Plan include the Waukesha County Courthouse Project, which will occur in two-phases to expand and modernize the facilities. It also includes five projects to improve County Trunk Highway (CTH) O (Moorland Road) and CTH M (North Avenue), two of the busiest roads in the county. It also includes technology projects that will improve existing services and to replace aging systems.
