“Wisconsin’s First Congressional District is home to more than 45,000 veterans. Whether through casework assistance or policy, I am committed to supporting these heroes. That’s why I’m fighting for this funding. Veterans should not have to suffer and go through their mental health battles alone. My amendment ensures $1 million is allocated to the Department of Veterans Affairs’ suicide prevention and treatment programs so veterans have the ability to receive the care they need,” said Steil.
