Madison…Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) released the following statement on President Trump’s State of the Union Address.
“I’m excited to see more of the President’s agenda put into action, including the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement. The President has proven he’ll work hard to protect American and Wisconsin workers.
“I agree with the President that our nation’s leaders should find ways to work together to rebuild our country’s infrastructure and ensure healthcare is affordable and accessible. I also appreciate his call for bipartisanship and a rejection of today’s politics of resistance.
“The Administration continues to place a priority on empowering the states to innovate. Our country needs to return to its federalist roots and the 10th Amendment allows for the return of power to the states. Our country works better with a strong federal and state partnership.”
