Named Ranking Democrat on Labor, State Affairs Committees

MADISON – On Monday, State Rep. Christine Sinicki (D-Milwaukee) was sworn in for her 11th term in the State Assembly. Rep. Sinicki has represented the 20th Assembly District, which includes parts of Milwaukee’s south side, St. Francis, and Cudahy, since 1999. She now begins her third decade serving in the Legislature. Prior to election to the Assembly, Rep. Sinicki served eight years on the Milwaukee School Board.

“I am honored and humbled by the continued trust my neighbors have placed in me, and I am eager to continue serving as their voice in the State Assembly,” said Representative Sinicki. “I am especially excited to serve with a new Democratic Governor and Attorney General. I believe more than ever that Wisconsin’s future is bright.”

Rep. Sinicki has been appointed to sit on six Assembly standing committees, and as ranking Democrat on two of them, the Committees on Labor and Integrated Employment, and the Committee on State Affairs. Additionally, she will serve on the Committees on Consumer Protection; Forestry, Parks, and Outdoor Recreation; Government Accountability and Oversight, and Veterans and Military Affairs.
