(MILWAUKEE) – Today, members of the Wisconsin State Senate took up the state budget, along with other bills.  Some of the budget items that were highlighted by Senate democrats included frustration with inadequate education funding, gerrymandered districts, refusal of Medicaid expansion, and access to safe water.  In response to budget deliberations, Senator Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement:

“June is Migraine and Headache Awareness Month.  My republican colleagues definitely made my head hurt today.  How do you rationalize continued underfunding of special education, refusal of Medicaid expansion, cheating in redistricting maps, and indifference to access to safe water?  The governor’s budget was reasonable, the GOP response was reckless.”
