State Senator André Jacque, R- DePere, issued the following statement regarding his official swearing-in as State Senator.

“With a booming economy across the state, full employment, and record unemployment, I’m excited to start fine-tuning the policies that affect all of us. As the committee chair of Local Government, Small Business, Tourism, and Workforce Development, I have the unique opportunity to represent my district and all of the issues that have an impact on our daily lives.”

In addition to chairing the committee on Local Government, Small Business, Tourism, and Workforce Development, it was announced Senator Jacque will be assigned to the following committees:
– Vice-chair of Judicial and Public Safety
– Health and Human Services
– Agriculture, Revenue, and Financial Institutions
– Co-chair of Joint Survey Committee on Information Systems
– Joint Legislative Council

“I’m thrilled to continue my work in the Assembly closing loopholes, advocating for victim rights, public safety, and health insurance reform. Now in the Senate, I’ll have a larger voice to advocate for my constituents and expand on the bold reforms I’ve championed.”

Senator Jacque represents the First Senate District, consisting of Door, Manitowoc, Kewaunee, Brown, Calumet, and Outagamie counties. He was sworn in on January 7th, 2019.
