[Madison, WI] – In response to tonight’s first Democrat presidential debate, the Republican Party of Wisconsin issued the following statement from Chairman Andrew Hitt:
“Tonight’s debate proved just how extreme the Democrat field truly is. Democrats don’t want to just move us to the left, they want to alter the very fabric of our society and turn us into a socialist country. Wisconsinites are not going to buy into their radical and dangerous policy proposals and socialist wish list.
While the first group of candidates showcased their obsession with a government takeover of healthcare, decriminalizing illegal immigration, and abolishing ICE, President Trump has lifted our nation to unprecedented new heights and will continue to do so when he’s reelected in 2020.”
