MADISON – Assembly Majority Leader Jim Steineke (R-Kaukauna) released the following statement regarding Governor Evers joining Assembly and Senate Republicans for a joint caucus this morning:
“I am incredibly glad that Governor Evers was able to join me and my colleagues in caucus today. Having the opportunity to discuss priorities that Assembly and Senate Republicans have with Governor Evers was another important step in focusing on the things that unite us as public servants of Wisconsin.
“Last week we delivered a letter to Governor Evers that outlined mutual goals we felt we could accomplish together. Today, we were able to discuss those priorities face-to-face. I look forward to continuing this trend of finding common ground and working in a bipartisan manner to ensure we’re moving our state forward.”
