Madison—Today Representative David Steffen (R-Howard) took the oath of office to officially begin his third term in the 104th Wisconsin State Legislature. He will serve as the State Representative for the 4th Assembly District.

“I am honored to continue to serve the people of the fourth district and I remain dedicated to advocating on behalf of hardworking Wisconsin taxpayers,” said Rep. Steffen. “As the elected voice of my constituents, representing their best interests is my top priority.”

Rep. Steffen has been named Chair of the Committee on Government Accountability and Oversight and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Energy and Utilities. He will also serve as a member on the Criminal Justice and Public Safety, Insurance, and Local Government committees.

“These committees will be tasked with important issues and I am excited to get to work,” commented Rep. Steffen. “The newly created Government Accountability and Oversight committee will serve as an important check on our government and I will work hard to defend the successful reforms that we have put in place over the last several years.”

Representative Steffen is one of 63 Assembly Republicans in the 2019-2020 legislative session.

“I look forward to joining my colleagues in the Legislature to work on improving the lives of our citizens and continuing to move Wisconsin forward,” finished Rep. Steffen.
