Madison – Yesterday marks the start of the 104th session of the Wisconsin State Legislature. Rep. Mark Born (R-Beaver Dam) was sworn in for his fourth term as representative of the 39th Assembly District. Rep. Born released the following statement after the 2019 Inauguration Ceremony:

“I would like to thank the constituents of the 39th Assembly District for giving me the
opportunity to serve our communities for a fourth term. I am excited to work with Governor Evers and my colleagues in the legislature to continue building upon our successes and finding common ground to improve the lives of families in Dodge County and Wisconsin.

“Our unemployment rate has been below 3% for the past 10 months, our tax burden is the lowest it’s been in over 50 years, and we finished 2018 with a $588 million surplus in our rainy day fund. The numbers show that our positive reforms are working, and now is not the time to turn back the clock in Wisconsin. I look forward to continuing to be a strong voice for my constituents in Madison as we make Wisconsin an even better place to live, work and raise a family.”

Representative Born was appointed to serve his second term on the Joint Committee on Finance and the Assembly Committee on Rules. He also was appointed to serve on the State Building Commission.
