Election results can wait. For some supporters of state Supreme Court candidate Lisa Neubauer, first comes baseball.

As people trickled into Neubauer’s election night party this evening at Racine’s Red Onion Cafe, some grabbed a beer and chatted amongst friends, while others gathered around the only TV in the cafe to watch the Brewers play the Cincinnati Reds.

Former 1st CD Dem candidate Randy Bryce is among those awaiting results of the state Supreme Court race at candidate Lisa Neubauer’s election night event in Racine.

More and more folks showed up as the clock ticked toward 8 p.m., when the polls closed.

A spread of fruit, meatballs, mushrooms and assorted cheeses laid out on the cafe counter for guests to nibble.

And Neubauer, so far, is nowhere to be seen.

Tyler Hendricks, Neubauer’s campaign manager, said he felt his candidate ran a good campaign and those involved did everything they could to get a win tonight.

“We’re just kind of waiting to see right now where everything comes in and let the chips fall where they may,” he said.

Meanwhile, Brian Hagedorn’s supporters are gathered at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee.

Attendees are gathered in a ballroom and lobby area, chatting while sipping drinks from the cash bar and munching on assorted cheese, sausages and cut vegetables.

Among those attending are Justice Rebecca Bradley, Judge Michael Screnock, who lost his 2018 Supreme Court bid to Justice Rebecca Dallet, former GOP Lt. Gov. Margaret Farrow, and GOP state Rep. Joe Sanfelippo.

Two televisions are flanking a podium on a riser where Hagedorn is to speak.

Hagedorn and his family are in the building, but Hagedorn hasn’t yet addressed supporters.
