MADISON — Former Lieutenant Governor Barbara Lawton and former Dane County Executive Kathleen Falk both today endorsed Judge Jill Karofsky for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court in the Spring 2020 Election.

“Judge Jill Karofsky has the experience we need on the Wisconsin Supreme Court,” said Lawton, who hails from Green Bay and served as Lt. Governor from 2003 to 2011. “I’m deeply concerned about the direction of the court, and trust that Jill’s values and adherence to the law will put her in the best position to serve the people of our great state. I fully support her to be Wisconsin’s next Supreme Court Justice.”

“Judge Karofsky has devoted her career to serving the public. She and I both served in the WI Department of Justice for many years,” said Falk, who served as County Executive from 1997 to 2011, and also served as a senior Health and Human Services official in the Obama Administration. “Most importantly, Judge Karofsky has served the public with great integrity in carrying out the important job of a judge in applying the law to facts in countless cases. She will bring that same high integrity and exceptional skill to work for Wisconsinites on our state’s high court.”

“I’m honored to have both Lt. Governor Lawton and County Executive Falk’s support,” said Judge Karofsky. “This campaign has great momentum and we are making our case in every corner of Wisconsin. Together, we can get the Court back on track.”
