MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers ordered the flags of the United States and the State of Wisconsin to be flown at half-staff on Friday, October 18, 2019 in honor of former State Representative Joseph Tregoning who passed away on October 10, 2019 at 78 years old. 

State Representative Joseph Tregoning served as the state representative in Southwest Wisconsin for 23 years and served as Deputy Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection under Governor Tommy Thompson.

“State Representative Tregoning was a dedicated public servant, active in his community, and a great advocate for farmers across our state,” Gov. Evers said. “My thoughts are with his family, friends, and community as we honor his life and service to the state of Wisconsin.” 

A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church in Shullsburg.
