MADISON — Wisconsin Assembly Republicans today attempted to override three of Gov. Tony Evers’ line-item vetoes in the 2019-21 biennial budget. Gov. Assembly GOP lawmakers failed to meet the two-thirds threshold to override three of Gov. Tony Evers’ budget vetoes. After more than two hours of heated debate the chamber voted along party lines. Gov. Evers: Appoints Randy Romanski as Interim DATCP Secretary

MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today appointed Randy Romanski as interim Secretary of the Wisconsin Dept. of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) following unprecedented actions by Senate Republicans on Tuesday to fire Gov. Evers’ DATCP cabinet appointee, Brad Pfaff.  “Our farmers are experiencing a growing dairy crisis, devastating flooding, and an unpredictable trade war, the last thing they need is Republican politicians playing political games with our leading agricultural agency,” Gov.
