U.S. Sen. Johnson, Grassley: Call for transparency in criminal inquiry into origins of Russia investigation

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr Tuesday to call for transparency in the reported Department of Justice criminal inquiry into the origins of the Russia investigation. “Regardless of whether or not Mr. Durham decides to file indictments, in order to restore public confidence in the Department of Justice (DOJ), the FBI, and the Intelligence Community (IC), the findings of his investigation must be made public to the fullest extent possible,” the senators wrote.
