WisGOP: Vice President Pence to visit and support the Wisconsin comeback
Bold reforms of Scott Walker have WI moving forward
[Madison, WI] — Today, Vice President Mike Pence is visiting Wisconsin to campaign with Governor Scott Walker and show support for the conservative reforms that have led to Wisconsin’s comeback. Thanks to the governor’s reforms, our state’s unemployment hit an all-time low, Wisconsin has cut over $8 billion in taxes, and the state has invested more actual dollars into our classrooms than ever before. The Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement from Chairman Brad Courtney on the vice president’s visit:
“As Vice President Pence and Governor Walker travel throughout Wisconsin today, they have a great message to deliver to the voters of our state – Wisconsin’s comeback is real. Thanks to our conservative reforms, our unemployment rate has hit an all-time low and the governor has cut taxes by over $8 billion. Sadly, Tony Evers would take us backward with the failed policies of yesterday – like increasing the income tax, removing property tax caps, and increasing the gas tax by as much as $1 per gallon. President Trump and Vice President Pence are making America great again, and they have a great blueprint to follow here in Governor Walker’s Wisconsin.”
