[Madison, WI] — Following President Donald Trump’s announcement last night that he is nominating Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States, the Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement from Executive Director Mark Morgan:
“When Wisconsin voters went to the polls in November of 2016, they did so in part with the Supreme Court in mind. Judge Kavanaugh is an extremely qualified nominee and will work hard to protect our Constitution and uphold the rule of law. Wisconsin Republicans will organize to help the president get his nominee confirmed and will hold Senator Baldwin accountable should she or her liberal Washington allies try to obstruct Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation.”
