[Madison, WI] — Senate Democrat Leader Jennifer Shilling thinks she can spend your money better than you can. While Republican leaders voted to continue advancing Governor Walker’s tax relief plan for Wisconsin families, Democrats fought to keep that money in Madison — vowing that they would rather spend it on “anything else” other than giving it back to Wisconsin taxpayers.
“Governor Walker and Republican leaders think it’s best to return money back to the hard-working taxpayers of our state but unfortunately Shilling would rather spend it on ‘anything else,’” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Thanks to Republican reforms Wisconsin’s unemployment is near an all-time low, more people are working than ever before, and Wisconsin families are keeping more of what they earn.”
