Republican Party of Wisconsin Launches Billboard Welcoming High-Tax Socialist Bernie Sanders to Green Bay
[Madison, WI] — The Republican Party of Wisconsin is launching a new billboard today in Green Bay welcoming socialist Senator Bernie Sanders to Wisconsin. Together with his Wisconsin colleague Senator Tammy Baldwin, the two have adamantly opposed Republican tax reform that has lowered taxes and grown the paychecks of hard-working Wisconsin families. After voting against the tax reform bill that saves the typical Wisconsin family $2,508, it’s clear Senator Baldwin has more in common with a socialist from Vermont than with Wisconsinites.
“Hard-working Wisconsin families are seeing real relief from the Republican tax reform bill – keeping more of what they earn instead of sending it to D.C.” said Alec Zimmerman, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin, “Sadly, Senator Baldwin and Senator Sanders are picking Washington over Wisconsin – campaigning in favor of higher taxes on the families of our state and opposing a bill that is already growing paychecks.”
See the billboard itself at the Mason Street Bridge in downtown Green Bay, or see an example of it online here.
Senator Baldwin has repeatedly favored higher taxes on hard-working families
  • Baldwin most recently opposed a Republican tax reform bill that gives the typical Wisconsin family of four an annual tax decrease of $2,508 – Senator Sanders is campaigning on repealing these tax cuts in Wisconsin this weekend.
  • Baldwin has voted in favor of higher taxes and fees over 400 times throughout her career.
  • Both Baldwin and Sanders support a government-run health care plan that is estimated to cost taxpayers $32 trillion.
