[Madison, WI] — Senator Tammy Baldwin called in her far-left friends from all over the country this weekend. Saturday, Baldwin held an event with socialist Bernie Sanders in Eau Claire, and Sundayshe was with New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. While Baldwin was busy cozying up to her far-left allies, Leah Vukmir was reminding Wisconsin voters that Baldwin, Sanders, and Gillibrand support higher taxes, socialized medicine, and putting Washington ahead of Wisconsin.

GOP Senate hopeful Vukmir paints Baldwin as far left

You can learn a lot about a person by assessing her friends.
That appeared to be the main message Republican U.S. Senate candidate Leah Vukmir sought to deliver during a campaign stop Friday in Eau Claire ahead of today’s planned appearance by former Democratic presidential candidate and liberal Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders on behalf of Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis.
“From my perspective, it’s Tammy Baldwin showing her true colors in that she’s campaigning with an avowed socialist,” Vukmir, a state senator from Brookfield, said during a brief rally at the Republican campaign office in Eau Claire. “It’s a far cry from the Tammy Baldwin who tries to paint herself out to be this moderate.”
Vukmir referenced a Sanders presidential campaign slogan when she remarked, “Wisconsin will ‘feel the Bern’ if Tammy Baldwin and the Democrats are allowed to have control over our state and our nation.”
Vukmir said her priorities, if elected, include “building that wall” to stop the flow of illegal immigrants across the Mexican border into the U.S., continuing to reform the federal tax code and replacing the Affordable Care Act with a form of consumer-driven health care.
