Both Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson refuse to disagree with Trump on anything—and now they’re brutally attacking each other over who would be the most dedicated Trump rubber stamp.

MADISON — During last Thursday’s Republican Senate primary debate, Leah Vukmir and Kevin Nicholson repeatedly refused to disagree with anything that President Donald Trump has done or said, making it abundantly clear that they’re running to be rubber stamps for Donald Trump’s agenda, in addition to working for their corporate special interest and billionaire backers.

But despite their united praise for everything that Trump has ever done or said, Vukmir and Nicholson are nevertheless viciously attacking each other for… not supporting Trump enough.

From the Wisconsin State Journal

In its final weeks, the primary battle between Wisconsin’s Republican U.S. Senate candidates has become a brutal fight over who has been more loyal to President Donald Trump.

The issue could sway undecided GOP primary voters for the Aug. 14 primary, in which the top candidates are state Sen. Leah Vukmir and businessman Kevin Nicholson.

Here’s how the Trump rubber stamp competition played out yesterday:

  • Vukmir’s campaign punched back at Nicholson in a dueling press release, noting, “After Kevin Nicholson donated to Marco Rubio’s presidential campaign, he did nothing to help Donald Trump in 2016.” Vukmir’s campaign also attacked Nicholson for receiving prolific support from Dick Uihlein-funded Club for Growth, which initially opposed Trump.

With Vukmir and Nicholson now litigating their pro-Trump rubber stamp bonafides, and Nicholson megadonor Dick Uihlein continuing to attack Vukmir on TV (most recently, charging that Vukmir is “no conservative”), it’s clear that the GOP Senate primary is only going to get uglier over the next 13 days.
