Earlier today, Governor Scott Walker was asked to reply to Donald Trump’s Helsinki press conference with Vladimir Putin, wherein Trump sided with Putin over the U.S. intelligence community and law enforcement. Senator John McCain called it “one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory” and former Director of the CIA John Brennan referred to it as “nothing short of treasonous.”

So what did Scott Walker have to say?

“That’s not in my jurisdiction.”  What a profile in courage.

DPW REACTION:

“Scott Walker has refused to stand up to Donald Trump on behalf of Harley Davidson, on behalf of Wisconsin’s dairy farmers, even on behalf of children being torn away from their parents. It’s no surprise that he also remains silent on Russian interference in our elections. And make no mistake, whether Wisconsin is able to have fair elections is absolutely in the Governor’s jurisdiction. When push comes to shove, Scott Walker won’t defend Harley, he won’t defend Wisconsin, he won’t defend America — he’ll only defend Trump.” — DPW spokesperson for 2018 governor election TJ Helmstetter
