[Madison, Wis.] – The Wisconsin Troopers’ Association enthusiastically endorses Brad Schimel for re-election as Wisconsin’s Attorney General.
“Four years ago, our members said Brad Schimel’s commitment to public safety and unmatched experience as a Wisconsin prosecutor made him law enforcement’s choice to serve as Attorney General,” said Glen Jones, President of the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association. “The last four years have proved us right, as Brad Schimel has done an excellent job as Attorney General and we want him in that post to help our members keep Wisconsin safe and strong.”
The Wisconsin Troopers’ Association is the professional organization representing the men and women of the Wisconsin State Patrol. The duties they perform each day promote highway safety and enhance the quality of life for all Wisconsin citizens.
Jones said Schimel’s leadership on fighting the opioid and meth problems in Wisconsin, as well as his willingness to partner with the men and women on the front lines of law enforcement, were key factors in their decision to support Schimel this year.
“Brad has our back and always puts public safety before politics,” said Jones. “That’s not only welcome, but it’s absolutely necessary for Wisconsin’s Top Cop.”
