February 27, 2018 – Milwaukee, WI – The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL) hired Cori O’Connor, recently an editorial page editor for the Wall Street Journal, as its Writer and Research Associate. Cori brings to WILL a wealth of experience in writing, especially op-eds, policy research, and communications and will serve to bolster a growing policy team and improve messaging of WILL content.

Rick Esenberg, president and general counsel at WILL, welcomed Cori,

“We have a profound respect and appreciation for the Wall Street Journal op-ed and editorial team as a national leader in promoting the principles of free markets and free people. As such, I am very excited for Cori to join WILL and the conservative movement here in Wisconsin. Her background at the Wall Street Journal and New York Post will help WILL’s growing policy team, op-ed capabilities, social media, and overall messaging of our lawsuits and policy reports.”

At The King’s College, she edited the Empire State Tribune, a student newspaper, worked for two years on The Federalist Project, and interned with the New York Post editorial board.

O’Connor spent two and half years at the Wall Street Journal after graduation. She was selected as a Bartley Fellow, then continued work at the Journal as an editor on the opinion page. With the Journal she wrote, edited, and ran social media.
