(Waukesha, WI) – Waukesha County Parks will host two recruitment fairs to fill seasonal vacancies for lifeguards on Wednesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 9 from 5-8 p.m. at Fox Brook Park, 2925 N. Barker Rd, Brookfield.

“Working at one of Waukesha County’s beaches is an unbeatable job for anyone who wants to make good money while enjoying the outdoors,” said County Executive Paul Farrow. “The positive experiences gained will follow employees throughout their lives.”

Waukesha County is seeking at least 20 candidates to fill vacant lifeguard positions at Fox Brook, Menomonee, Muskego, and Naga-Waukee Parks. Flexible positions are open from late-spring through late-summer with options for 20-40 hours per week.

As a bonus, candidates that have not completed lifeguard certification will receive free training as part of the hiring process. The sponsored lifeguard training session will be held mid-May for candidates that meet the minimum swimming requirements. Lifeguard pay starts at $9.79/hour.

On-site staff at the recruitment fair will be ready to pre-screen candidates and assist with the application process. Individuals who are already Lifeguard Certified can save time by calling the Aquatics Supervisor directly at 262-896-8074 or apply online at www.waukeshacounty.gov/jobs
