Gov. Scott Walker outraised Dem rival Tony Evers in the most recent reporting period, thanks to a $3.5 million boost from the state GOP.

Walker reported raising $7.7 million from Sept. 1-Oct. 22. He also spent $10.2 million over the period and had $1.6 million left in the bank.

Evers, meanwhile, raised $6 million, spent $5.9 million and had $1.7 million cash on hand.

Walker’s fundraising included $3.8 million from committees with $2.8 million of that transfers from the state GOP and another $709,000 in in-kind contributions from the party.

Evers pulled in $2.1 million from committees with $599,640 of that from the state Dem Party and $450,000 from running mate Mandela Barnes.
