[Madison, Wis.] – The Walker campaign released the following statement on the announcement today by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association that it was changing the date of its gubernatorial debate from Oct. 5 to Oct. 19 after the Evers campaign said it had a scheduling conflict.

“Scott Walker is ready to have an honest discussion about our state’s future and his vision to keep Wisconsin working for generations to come,” said campaign spokesman Brian Reisinger. “That’s why he promptly agreed to two debates on October 5 and 26 — and why he’s willing to change the date of the WBA debate following the request of the Evers campaign.”
