Veterans from across Wisconsin endorse Scott Walker in his reelection campaign
[Madison, Wis.] – Today, at an event in La Crosse, Scott Walker proudly announced the launch of his Veterans coalition consisting of Veterans from across the state. Under Scott Walker’s leadership, Wisconsin has become a top state for Veterans and their families.
Wisconsin leads the nation with 23 different Veterans benefits and our Veterans homes rank as some of the best in the country. In addition, Scott Walker has given Veterans priority in course registration at UW campuses, expanded eligibility for the Wisconsin GI bill, and funded the Department of Workforce Development’s Hire Heroes program, which helps connect Veterans to jobs when they return to civilian life. He also recently launched a national marketing campaign to encourage military personnel and their spouses to live and work in Wisconsin when they leave the service.
