After months of negative ads and nasty rhetoric, voters across the state head to the polls today to make their picks for governor, U.S. Senate, Congress, the Legislature and constitutional offices.

Republican Gov. Scott Walker faces Dem opponent Tony Evers, and Republican state Sen. Leah Vukmir is vying to unseat incumbent Dem U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin.

Voters are also choosing between incumbent Republican Brad Schimel and Dem Josh Kaul to be the next attorney general.

Voters across the state will also choose their next U.S. representatives. The two most competitive races are in southeastern Wisconsin’s 1st CD, where Republican Bryan Steil and Dem Randy Bryce vie to replace outgoing House Speaker Paul Ryan; and in the 6th CD, where incumbent Republican Glenn Grothman is defending his seat against Dem Dan Kohl.

Voters, via several competitive races, are also set to determine control of the state Senate and Assembly.

Other races include:

*Secretary of state: Republican Jay Schroeder faces incumbent Dem Doug La Follette
*State treasurer: Republican Travis Hartwig versus Dem Sarah Godlewski
