Vipond Challenges Sensenbrenner in Republican Primary in August

BROOKFIELD, WIS. (July 12, 2018) – Dr. Jennifer Hoppe Vipond is an accomplished pediatrician in Waukesha County.  She has been a pediatrician for 27 years, and loves her job.  The lack of progress from Congress on health issues including the opioid epidemic and the cost of healthcare have frustrated her to the point of interrupting her successful practice to run for US Congress.

In the video released today, Dr. Vipond discusses the opioid epidemic, and how recently passed bills have negatively impacted law enforcement’s ability to fight the issue. She is running for Congress to provide physician guidance to discussions regarding healthcare, opioids and mental health. Her employer has offered a leave of absence and she plans to serve a maximum of three terms before returning to her practice.
