Wauwatosa — After Tuesday’s primary, the crowded field of candidates vying for the
District 14 Assembly seat has narrowed. Democratic candidate Robyn Vining shared
this statement:

“Democracy requires people willing to set aside their own lives and make sacrifices to
step into the role of public service, not out of self interest but for the common good. It’s
often a commitment that demands much of a candidate’s entire family. I commend the
candidates and families who have given so much of their time and energy to the District
14 Assembly race, particularly my fellow Democrat Chris Rockwood, who withdrew from
the race back in May, as well as the six other candidates from the other parties. I
congratulate Mr. Adamcyzk on winning his competitive primary and welcome him to the
general election. I am committed to bipartisan solutions to nonpartisan problems. I look
forward to working out the Wisconsin Idea, and our American ideals, by focusing
respectfully on the issues and offering the people of District 14 a choice in
representation.”

District 14 includes parts of Wauwatosa, Brookfield and Milwaukee. The seat was
previously held by Republican Dale Kooyenga, who vacated the position to run for State
Senate. The general election is Nov. 6.
