Comes after a chaotic week of proposed partisan immigration reform bills
La Crosse – Today, U.S. Rep. Ron Kind released the following statement on finding bipartisan fixes to our broken immigration system:
“This week’s chaotic push – and failure – to fix our broken immigration system is another reminder that bipartisanship is the only path forward in finding a solution to any issue. In 2013, we had the opportunity to vote on a bipartisan immigration reform bill out of the Senate, but House Republicans refused to bring the bill to the floor for a vote. We need to get serious about finding bipartisan solutions that grow Wisconsin’s economy and promote legal immigration, while securing our borders.”
