La Crosse – Today, U.S. Rep. Ron Kind released the following statement in recognition of Labor Day and the importance of honoring Wisconsin’s workers:
“As Wisconsinites come together to celebrate Labor Day weekend, it’s important that we take time to recognize the contributions workers have had on our state and our nation. As the son of a telephone repairman and union leader, I know firsthand the importance of America’s labor movement.
This Labor Day, I’ll be marching in the Labor Day parade right where I grew up, on the North Side of La Crosse. Together, we’ll celebrate Wisconsin workers – and demand deals, wages and working conditions that work for the people, not for powerful special interests in Washington.”
