Spent over 3 times more than the average Wisconsin House member on direct mail

Grafton – Today, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Glenn Grothman has spent over 3 times more than the average Wisconsin House member on direct mail. From January 1, 2017 to March 30, 2018, Grothman spent $268,939 on mail-related expenses, whereas the average Wisconsin House member spent just $87,442. The amount spent by Grothman on taxpayer funded mail and printing is nearly as much as he has spent on his re-election campaign in that same time frame – $283,590.

“Hard-working Wisconsinites expect their tax dollars to be used responsibly, not abused for political purposes.” said non-profit leader and business executive Dan Kohl. “Serving the people of Wisconsin in Congress carries important responsibilities and I pledge to be a responsible steward of tax dollars. Instead of spending hard-earned tax dollars for re-election, our elected leaders should be focused on achieving real solutions to the critical issues facing Wisconsin families.”
