Osseo, WI – Following the House vote Tuesday night to continue federal government funding, Steve Toft released the following statement:
“Once again, Ron Kind failed to stand up for the people of the 3rd district,” said Toft. “He has voted with Nancy Pelosi time and time again to shut down the government and leave children and veterans in limbo. As the government funding debate continues this week, I hope he shows the leadership to stand up to the party bosses and do the right thing for Wisconsin.”
In addition to Tuesday night, Kind also voted on January 18th to shutdown the government which put nearly 19,000 children, in the 3rd District, who are enrolled in CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program) in danger.
