JANESVILLE, Wis. – First Congressional District candidate Bryan Steil released his first TV ad of the general election today. The ad touts Steil’s background on the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and in the private sector.
“I’m focused on solving problems,” said Steil. “In Congress, I will use my experience in the private sector and education to put American workers first. This ad shares our positive message with the voters of Southeast Wisconsin and continues to grow our campaign’s momentum.”
In the ad, Steil outlines his priorities in Congress, including preparing the workforce for the jobs of the future, standing up for American workers, and keeping taxes low to bolster the economy. Steil says he’ll replace “Washington Style Politics” with these “Wisconsin Style Solutions.”

Bryan Steil: I’m Bryan Steil and on University of Wisconsin Board of Regents, I fought tuition increases because working in manufacturing, I know we need a prepared workforce, better trade deals, and less red tape for the economy to thrive. Bryan Steil won the Republican nomination for the First Congressional District on August 14 with over 51 percent of the vote in a five-way contest. Steil is running for Congress to fight for American workers and prepare our workforce for the jobs of the future. Steil is a member of the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents and has a strong background as a business leader. For the past nine years, Steil has worked for manufacturing companies in Rock County and has learned the importance of fiscal discipline and risks of government red tape. Steil was born and raised in Janesville, Wisconsin, where he currently lives.
