Madison, WI – This week, Representative Rob Swearingen (R-Rhinelander) released the
following statement after being appointed by Speaker Vos (R-Rochester) as Chair to the
Assembly Committee on State Affairs and to the Wisconsin Building Commission.

“I want to thank the Speaker for the honor and privilege to have been named as Chair of the Assembly Committee on State Affairs for the 2019-2020 session,” said Swearingen. “I look forward to working with my fellow committee members on key legislative issues that impact Wisconsin residents.”

“I also look forward to working with members of the Building Commission on projects which
are in the best interest of the taxpayers”, stated Rep. Swearingen. “I am honored to be one of the six legislators appointed to this important committee.”

The Building Commission is an eight member body chaired by the Governor, along with six
legislators from both the minority and majority party, and a citizen member. The groups’ mission is to plan, oversee, and approve building projects around the state.
