WASHINGTON—House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 1892, the Further Extension of Continuing Appropriations Act of 2018, which keeps the government open, fully funds our military, and extends important health care programs.
“Today, the House took another critical step to fund our military and provide it with the additional resources it needs to protect our nation. This bill also includes extensions for vital health care programs, such as funds for community health centers that support women in crisis. Now, I urge the Senate Democrats to end their filibuster so we can finally provide funding for our men and women in uniform. No more games. The safety of our service members and the security of our nation are at stake.”
