MADISON — Upper House in Madison invites Madison-area journalists to a free seminar on religion reporting Friday, March 9.

The session features Bob Smietana, a veteran religion reporter and former president of the Religion News Association. His experience includes working at the Nashville Tennessean, Religion News Service, and Christianity Today.

Smietana will discuss the diverse religious landscape in the U.S. and help reporters find a religion angle in a wide variety of experiences.

Participation in the three-hour seminar is limited to 25 people, and advance registration is required. Lunch is included.
