Outagamie Democratic Party Chair Announces Campaign for State Senate APPLETON, WI– Lee Snodgrass, the chair of the Democratic Party of Outagamie County and the Director of Communications at Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes will run for Wisconsin’s Senate District 19.

Snodgrass has made her home in Appleton for 23 years having moved back to Wisconsin after working in suburban Maryland following graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1991. Snodgrass has worked in marketing communications for more than 20 years in the private sector for Fox River Paper Company, as an independent consultant at Allen James Design and her current role in the nonprofit industry for the Girl Scouts. In December of 2016 she was elected as the chair of the Democratic Party in Outagamie County where she had previously been active in Democratic candidate campaigns.

“The people of the 19th Senate District deserve a Senator who will fight for well-funded, safe schools, decent roads, access to affordable healthcare, a living wage, and environmental protections to preserve what we all love about Wisconsin,” says Snodgrass. “For too long, I’ve watched my friends and neighbors struggle to afford even the most basic comforts. There is something wrong in Wisconsin when hard working families are forced to choose between the expense of new tires or dental check-ups. I love our state, and I want to help make it a place where all our citizens have equal opportunity to thrive.”

Senate District 19 includes Appleton, Menasha, Neenah, and surrounding towns in East Central Wisconsin. Snodgrass’s candidacy comes on the heels of the recent State Supreme Court election when Outagamie County’s voters moved the county back to blue with 55.68% supporting Dallet, marking a sharp contrast to 53.1% majority for Trump in the 2016 election.

Snodgrass grew up in the Green Bay area and is the mother of two. Her daughter is a student at the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities and her son is a junior at Appleton North.
