Senate Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling asked Dem activists for their help in winning a special election in 11 days.

The La Crosse Dem drew a parallel to Caleb Frostman’s race for the 1st SD June 12 to Patty Shachtner’s win in the 10th SD special election — “smack dab in the heart of Trump Country” — in January.

Shilling said in that race, Dems proved they can win when they’re organized and energized.

“With a narrow Republican majority in the Senate, a victory in the 1st Senate District on June 12th gets Democrats one seat closer to the majority — and one seat closer to reshaping the political landscape in Wisconsin,” she said.

Shilling said that vision includes: properly funded schools, fair wages and clean drinking water, among other things.

“This is our vision for Wisconsin, and with your help, Senate Democrats will make this vision a reality,” she said.
