(MADISON) – Recently, local edible artist, baker and owner of Signature Sweets Bakery won first place in the Live Cake Battle at the Show Me Sweets Edible Art Show and Convention held in St. Louis, MO. After hearing the news, Senator Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee) released the following statement:

“Congratulations to Kimberly Sweets for representing Milwaukee. It’s a huge accomplishment for her local company, Signature Sweets!”

“Kimberly’s success as a local business owner working in the culinary industry, and larger agriculture sector is exactly the kind of story that comes to mind when I think about my LOVE and FAITH Initiative. By promoting programs that help connect people with opportunities in education, employment and entrepreneurship, I believe we can truly make a difference. The demand for jobs in agriculture is higher than most people think, and Kimberly’s accomplishments are just one example of how far you can go in that field! Congratulations to Ms. Sweets and everyone else on the Signature Sweets team!”
