Madison, WI — Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald has named Senator Chris Kapenga (R – Delafield) chairman of the Public Benefits, Licensing & State-Federal Relations Committee. Senator Kapenga released the follow statement:
“I am excited to get back to serving as the chairman of the Public Benefits, Licensing & State-Federal Relations Committee, and want to thank Senator Fitzgerald for reappointing me as chairman for the upcoming legislative session.”
“Last session, the committee led the way by passing the most comprehensive welfare reform package in the nation. This session, the committee will take an expanded role in ensuring our reforms over the past eight years are implemented as the legislature intended. We will continue to look for ways to put individuals on the path to self-sufficiency and remove barriers to people finding meaningful work. I look forward to continuing my work this session on these reforms and serving the constituents of the 33rd Senate District.”
