WASHINGTON — U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, held a hearing Wednesday titled “Unintended Consequences: Medicaid and the Opioid Epidemic.” The hearing was based on this new report detailing cases involving Medicaid fraud and how the Medicaid program has contributed to the opioid crisis. After the hearing, Sen. Johnson sat down with one of the witnesses to further discuss the issue.  This latest episode of “Hey, Wisconsin” features a conversation with Sam Adolphsen, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Government Accountability and former Chief Operating Officer for Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services.  Listen to the podcast here.
