MADISON, WI — Today, the Wisconsin chapter of the national Women’s March endorsed Democratic gubernatorial candidate Kelda Roys. Their full statement can be read here.

“Women’s March Wisconsin is proud to endorse Kelda Roys for Governor of Wisconsin,” announced co-chairs Sarah Pearson and Violet Kilmurray. “Kelda shares the progressive values of Women’s March Wisconsin and has a detailed plan to turn those values into transformative social and economic change for all Wisconsinites.”

Roys has previously been endorsed by many national and state organizations and leaders, including EMILY’s List, NARAL Pro-Choice America, National Organization for Women – Wisconsin, Feminist Majority, Demand Universal Healthcare, Moms Demand Action Candidate Distinction, #VoteProChoice, Andy Gronik, Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa, Rep. Amanda Stuck, Rep. Nick Milroy, former Sen. Jess King, and dozens of local elected officials.

“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of Women’s March Wisconsin,” said Roys. “In the wake of President Trump’s inauguration, it was the Women’s March that galvanized Americans across the country by reminding us how powerful we can be when we come together, when we organize, and when we make our voices heard. I welcome their support for our campaign to move Wisconsin forward.”
